About Me

I am a Polish girl living in California since 2005. I was born and raised in southern part of Poland where I finished Economic School and met my husband.

When I do not study, I love to read the books about health, food, and mindfulness. I believe that food is a medicine and it is important to eat whole foods. However, our positive attitude is also important. I do not think, that I am optimistic or pessimistic person. I rather say I am realistic. However, these books teach me to live in the present and enjoy every little thing.

Since I believe in healthy, nutritious food, sometimes I experiment with healthy versions of desserts. Most of them are raw, vegan and very delicious!

I love nature! Every single summer, I go camping. It is a time to sit in the hammock and clear my mind. My favorites places for camping are Mammoth Lakes, CA Big Bear,CA and Havasupai, AZ. I like to physically challenge myself, so besides getting mellow in a hammock, I go hiking. Recently, I gained six highest peaks in the Southern California with total of 82 miles of hiking.

My goals

My short-term goal is relatively typical for a Bachelor`s level dietetics graduate. It is to complete an internship and take the RD exam. As an international student, I have limited options; if I do not earn an internship, I would have to either go back to Poland, or try to apply for Optical Practical Training. I believe that anything is possible, and I have worked very hard to get this far.

After achieving my short-term objective, my long-term goal includes securing employment in a community program or in a hospital. I would also like to have my own practice as a dietitian one day. Based on my own experiences and passion, I would like to become a personal trainer or yoga teacher as well; I understand how sports and nutrition go together.
